Replacing the missing teeth with implants

Fortunately, placing an implant in the missing tooth area is a great help for patients to treat deformed teeth and not having toothlessness to avoid dental problems. For this purpose, treatment consists of two steps:

  1. Surgery: During a surgical procedure, an artificial tanium root is lost at the site of the tooth. Depending on the location and general health of the patients, it is easy to remove the coating from 4 weeks to 6 months. At that time, the bone began to form around it. And completely covers it.
  2. Laying the veneer: The new bone around the implant can be coated over it.

Typically, this type of treatment is done by two experts. The first part is performed by a gynaeur surgeon or a maxillofacial surgeon, and a second part by a restorative or prosthetic specialist, thus reducing the likelihood of failure and laceration and increasing its lifespan.

What is a dental implant?

If you have lost one or more teeth or you are completely toothless, you can use implants to replace missing teeth.

This is part of the root of the tooth inside the jaw bone and the crown of the tooth is placed on it. The implant’s advantages are that it does not need to shave adjacent teeth, and therefore no harm to the skin is introduced. This method is known as the best solution for replacing missing teeth, because it has a natural appearance and is not the same with natural teeth. The patient feels comfortable while talking and eating.

What is the material used in the implants?

It is usually made of various metals or ceramics with structures similar to bones which are adapted to body tissues. It is currently made of titanium metal.

How does the implant work?

The material can be used as the root of the toothpaste to keep the crowns that are replaced by the crowns that are permanently attached to the dental adhesives. Also, in cases where no artificial teeth are found in the mouth, the implants can be used as an appropriate place for the permanent fixation of the artificial teeth.
